Is it possible to build an economy that meets everyone’s needs without exceeding the planet’s ecological limits? Can we rethink what we mean by progress, well-being and development?

These are some of the questions explored in “Metamorphosis”, the third episode of the documentary series HOPE! We’re in Time, which inspires the second Participatory Action of Energy Culture promoted by DOCUMENTA.

Following the first Participatory Action, focused on the energy transition and citizen participation, this new initiative offers another opportunity to reflect, exchange ideas and learn together. In “Metamorphosis”, viewers are introduced to inspiring real-life experiences that show how new ways of producing, consuming and interacting with nature are already making a positive difference through more regenerative and sustainable approaches.

As with the first Participatory Action, we aim to create an open space where everyone can share ideas, questions and reflections inspired by the documentary. The goal is not to find a single answer, but to learn from one another, exchange perspectives and discover experiences that encourage us to imagine new ways of shaping the future.

Participation is open to everyone and no previous knowledge is required. To take part, you simply need to register in the project’s Virtual Environment. Once registered, you will have free access to the selected episode, the discussion forum and the opportunity to share your thoughts with the rest of the community.

And if you haven’t yet taken part in the first Participatory Action, you’re still in time! Both discussion spaces remain open, so you are welcome to participate in either one—or in both—depending on your interests.
